Controller and contact
Dmitrijs Taranenko is responsible for the processing described here; see the Legal Notice. For privacy questions or rights requests, email contact@dmitrijs.taranenko.me.
Information collected and purposes
The contact form collects your name, email address, subject and message to assess and respond to your enquiry and manage related correspondence. Please provide only information necessary to describe the enquiry, without credentials, confidential client data or sensitive personal information.
The site uses a session identifier, a CSRF token and form timing information to protect the form. A hash of the connecting IP address and request timestamps are used to limit abusive submissions. Hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and browser information in security and access logs.
Legal bases
Processing necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract is based on GDPR Article 6(1)(b), where you are the prospective contracting party. Business correspondence, including enquiries from representatives of organisations, and website security rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): responding to relevant enquiries and protecting the service. Records required by law are processed under Article 6(1)(c). The acknowledgement that you have read this policy is not consent to marketing.
Recipients and providers
Under Hostinger's published terms for EU customers, the contracting provider is HOSTINGER INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, unless the specific customer agreement identifies a different entity.
Hostinger provides website hosting and Hostinger Email. Enquiries are sent through smtp.hostinger.com to the operator's Hostinger mailbox and stored in Hostinger's email infrastructure. The operator accesses messages through Hostinger Webmail and does not use separate email applications or maintain local email archives or independent mailbox backups. Hosting and email providers process information as needed to operate their services.
The website uses Hostinger Premium Web Hosting. The hosting control panel identifies the website server location as France and the hosting backup location as Lithuania. These locations relate to web hosting and do not establish where Hostinger Email stores or processes mailbox data.
Hostinger processes hosting and email data under its Data Processing Addendum. Its affiliates and authorised subprocessors may participate in providing these services. Further information is available in Hostinger's Privacy Policy and the subprocessor list in Appendix 3 of the Addendum.
Information is not sold or used for unrelated marketing. It may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
International transfers
Although the selected website server and hosting backup locations are within the EEA, other service processing, including email, support and subprocessor operations, may take place outside the EEA. Hostinger's Addendum provides for EU Standard Contractual Clauses for covered transfers to countries not recognised as providing adequate protection, subject to its stated conditions. The Addendum linked above makes those safeguards available. Contact the operator for further information or a copy of the applicable safeguards. The locations of mailbox storage and other account-specific processing have not been confirmed.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to six months, then deleted from active mail storage. Engagement correspondence and legally required records may be retained longer for contractual or legal purposes. Backup deletion schedules and hosting-log retention remain to be confirmed.
The form does not maintain a database of enquiry messages. Rate-limit records contain hashed IP addresses and timestamps within a one-hour window; expired records are removed on the next form request. Session information follows the server's configured session expiry.
Cookies and external services
A strictly necessary PHP session cookie protects the contact form. It is not used for profiling or advertising. The site currently uses no analytics or marketing cookies, embeds no booking widget and loads its fonts locally. External links, including LinkedIn, lead to services with their own privacy policies.
The session cookie is normally named PHPSESSID. It stores a session identifier, not your message, and is configured as a session cookie rather than a persistent cookie. No consent banner is used for this strictly necessary cookie.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the email address above; proportionate identity verification may be needed. Requests are normally answered within one month, subject to extensions permitted by the GDPR.
You may complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate, or to the supervisory authority in the EU country of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement.
Providing information and automated decisions
Form fields are needed to handle a form enquiry. You may instead contact the operator by email. The site makes no automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects and does not profile visitors. Automated anti-abuse controls may reject a submission; email remains available.
Security and changes
Access controls, request validation and abuse limits help protect information. Production hosting must use HTTPS. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. This policy will be updated when processing arrangements change.
